Life has sculpted her into a hardened woman; one who does not take no for an answer. She is undeniably brash and blunt, but if you peel beneath her outer layer, you would find the proverbial 'rose'. She comes off as sassy and seductive, but her true character is very well sealed beneath those designer outfits. Delicate and caring, Betsy wants nothing more than a husband and that infamous white picket fence. For so long she has been in this cruel and deliberately denying world - for once in her life, she wants simple things. A simple life. But, the Elizabeth Braddock that the world is familiar with is the one that has to stay - the sultry woman whose image most people know. She has grown from her dashes of fame, though. It has helped Bets become more decisive and powerful, more dynamic and honorable. She has learned to deal with pressure (both public and personal) in the best of ways. So what the world see's isn't necessarily the 'fake' Betsy, no, it's just an extension of who she is overall. A keen, intelligent, determined, courageous individual who has learned to take everything life gives her and turn it into a prada bag. Powers/Abilities: Betsy Braddock has been graced with a psychic mind that contains much potential; but Betsy has only learned to use but a small bit of said potential. Her abilities first showed themselves when Betsy was in a near fatal plane crash. During this flight over the ocean, Elizabeth awoke to the sounds of panic and mayhem - only to find that the right repeller had stopped worked. As they plummeted to their watery graves below, Betsy clenched her seat handles tight and closed her eyes. Within moments, she noticed no movement. Her first thought was, 'am I dead?'. No, the plane had actually stopped in mid air. This was Elizabeth's first instance of her so called powers - but this was not the last. Having to hide her abilites from the public was her first major priority. Given her 'famous' status, Betsy didn't need the political pressure if she showed the world she was an 'different'. During the course of the past few months, Betsy has found her powers to take different types of actions. For instance, she has been able to heart peoples thoughts, gain a small bit of strength when thinking 'hard' about it, lifting objects with her mind, and even projecting a small purple 'screen' that protected her from on coming hail when she was caught outside in Florence, Italy. But, the best of these powers has only begun to show itself. On one of Betsy's "off" days, she was tinking around with her mind, thinking intensly about different things, and suddenly, this bright purple 'knife' appeared around her fist. It only lasted a few moments, then fleeted away. But Betsy has been trying and trying to do this again, leading to success only in a few instances. Other Skills: Betsy has advanced business skills due to her modeling time, adequate marital arts skills and adequate kick boxing skills. She is the third child of Sir James Braddock, a former knight and his wife, Elisabeth. Next to her twin brother, Brian, there is also Jamie, who is a few years older than they and happened to be a racing driver. Betsy grew up in a privleged childhood - she had everything she wanted and desired. Her brother Brian was her best friend, while Jamie was usually away doing his own things. She had the best schooling that money could buy, but grew bored with this lavish life style. She wanted to go out and create a name for herself, as did her brother Brian. But he had different plans, and he left to join the military. In time, she decided to start a modeling career, and soon the siblings lost track of each other. This saddened Betsy but she also knew it was something that needed to happen if both of them wanted to be successful at what they had chosen for their careers. A few years past and Betsy had become a catalyst in the modeling world - her european looks but strong opinions had gained her much critical attention. She was now a familiar face all over Europe and decided it was time to conquer a new world; the one called the United States of America. Her brother Brian had also become well known in England because he was a high ranking figure in the military. As Betsy set off to travel state side, something happened. This was one of those life changing events that would forever be with Betsy. As her plane was flying across the ocean, something malfunction and it started to crash; but, little did Betsy know, her latent mutant powers were exposed during this time of high stress. She managed to slow the planes decent enough so that is landed on the ocean below, not crashed. Flash forward four months - Betsy is now successfully in the middle of her American modeling campaign and has become to use her special abilities more than ever (even though they work when 'they' want to).
